Appomattox Campaign rated  Perfect
I'm shocked I haven't written a review before this. This game is great. I loved the game in it's original incarnation but this new format, as many have said, makes it a whole new game. There are games when you wish there was a 'repeat previous turn's actions' button. (what do you say Tom?) However a game against an experienced player can be fantastic and suspenseful in a way that I don't usual experience on fog boards.

I had a guy beat me yesterday who totally ignored the instructions. Came from behind me, stumbled on the fortify procedure and managed to systematically wipe me out all the while I was trying to beat through the neutrals. Once he had me wiped out I think he realized he needed to read the about and then walked through the whole I had made and won.

Just goes to show that this board can surprise you.

Still love this board.... luck is important but strategy can sometimes overcome. Interesting how many people think going 3rd or 4th is a bad thing. I prefer to go last so I can take advantage of others mistakes and bad luck. Later is absolutely better.

Antastic! rated  Average
There is something about this board that makes me want to yawn. I don't know what it is since I like big maze boards but just into every game I start to wish surrenders weren't held against you. The board is nicely made. My enjoyment factor = 0 , quality of design and workability = 10 the average of which is well: Average

Wargate SG-1 rated  Superb
So far I've tried 4 different approaches to this board. All were competitive but none successful. A really hard board to play but I like that I've seen people come back almost from extinction to win. Nice Job!

I like the new progressive limits on armies as you climb up the hill. It really makes the game more competitive. It is also a down right snazzy looking board. Nice Job improving on an already great design

I continue to like this board. I especially like it as a team game with one member locked in the cell and the other trying to unlock him.Nice job and I really love the torches.

Capitalism rated  Good
This is a good "Monopoly" board version. The dice modifiers really add something to the complexity of the game. I've had trouble with these types of boards in the past and I do again here. Nice job just not my cup of tea.

Fall of Rome rated  Perfect
I've always loved game play on this map. It's an amazing concept map that uses it's story to add to the game instead of just being a decoration. I especially love the graphic improvements that wargear has allowed. It adds to an already well rounded board

WarGear Warfare rated  Average
First board I played on wargear.... very nice graphics and slick gameplay.... as others have said, it is a good faithfull pleasant to play board that doesn't pretend to be anything else.
